Starting with October 1st 2023, Erste Group offers the next Group Graduate Programme. In 18 months we give a number of bright and highly skilled university graduates the opportunity to discover the world of our banking group. One trainee will be based in the department Group Securities Compliance.
This department is responsible for the implementation of and adherence to Securities Compliance regulations regulating global capital markets (external legal regulations like MiFID and the Market Abuse Regulation) as well as internal regulations for Erste Group Bank AG and various subsidiaries to prevent misbehavior in the markets business (i.e. insider trading, market manipulation, etc.).
In fulfillment of the task as a Group function, GSC secures a groupwide Compliance Standard in order to meet legal requirements and specific standards for banking business.

Your Tasks
- Support the Securities Compliance team in the areas of market manipulation surveillance according to the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR)
- Cooperate and investigate illicit behavior on stock exchanges and cooperate with internal stakeholders (i.e. trading and sales employees) to prevent any such activity in-house
- Perform controls of system generated alerts based on a market manipulation suspicion
- Support and train the front-office employees by providing consultancy and professional counselling in the area of Compliance
- Support group and local projects on demand
- Support a group-wide (in CEE) approach with your English skills to enhance the Securities Compliance standards in Erste Group and its subsidiaries
Your Background
- A university degree (min. Bachelor, preferably Master degree)
- Genuine interest and knowledge of capital markets
- Knowledge of relevant the legal framework is an advantage (MiFID, MAD/MAR)
- Technical/functional skills and interested to develop and enhance a system in use
- Self-guided, effective and pro-active work approach
- Professional working and communication style
- Teamplayer and integrative personality
- Fluent in English, German is an advantage

- The minimum wage for this full-time position with complete fulfillment of the functional profile is EUR 40.890,- gross per year.
