Junior Software Engineer

AVVie is an exciting early-stage medical device company with an innovative, minimally invasive technology for the treatment of mitral valve disease.

Tasks

Roll & Responsibilities

• Assisting in the design and development of a medical software application using the C++ programming language
• Developing and implementing of a 3D image reconstruction algorithm and path planning algorithm
• Responsible for developing software requirement specifications in line with user needs and design input
• Analyzing and resolving technical and application problems
• Generating creative solutions to problems and contributing to innovation through filing of patents
• Identifying and managing key risks throughout the software development lifecycle
• Preparing test protocols and reports, technical summaries, procedures and other pertinent deliverables
• Generating technical documentation and supporting the quality engineer

Requirements

Requirements

• Master’s/ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• 1-2 years of experience as a software engineer
• Knowledge of C++
• Experience in medical image segmentation, image processing, and 3D visualization is a must
• Working knowledge of FDA, IEC 62304, ISO 13485 requirements
• Experience with technical documentation for medical software
• A good team player who can time-manage and work independently in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Fluency in English is mandatory, German is a plus
