Head of Purchasing

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with internal stakeholders to identify their procurement requirements and develop strategies to meet those requirements.
• Create and implement purchasing strategies and policies that are in line with the overall objectives and goals of the company.
• Keep strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality materials and services.
• Assess supplier performance and negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective material, supply, and equipment procurement.
• Ensure that all applicable regulations, such as environmental, safety, and labour laws, are followed.
• Manage and lead a team of purchasing professionals to ensure that the purchasing process runs smoothly.
• Constantly monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify cost-cutting and process-improvement opportunities.
• Directly reporting to the CEO.
• Develop and maintain a supplier database to ensure a streamlined and efficient purchasing process.
• Manage the procurement budget and ensure that all purchasing activities are conducted within the approved budget.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Fluent German speaking.
• Outstanding negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Production or Engineering background
• In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices and purchasing strategies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and other procurement-related software.
• Must be willing to travel to portfolio business 3 days a week
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
