We are seeking an experienced person for our maternity coverrole as Head of Peoplefor the Viennasite with a background in human resources management in an international environment, to join our Vienna office as part of our People Team.

Role:

In this role, you will be using your professional expertise in building and supporting interdisciplinary teams, and implementing sleek people processes and initiatives to contribute to our mission: making better drugs, faster.

We are seeking to hire a highly motivated Head of People for the Vienna site to join Exsciencia’s People Team as a maternity cover. In this position, you will take responsibility for leading and implementing strategic People efforts in Austria, function as the point of contact for high-level requests, and provide in-depth perspective on initiatives, based on Austrian employment situations and trends.

As Head of People, Austria you will have the opportunity to:

• Act as point of contact for People strategy in Austria, maintaining an overview of site organisation, hiring plans, structure and collaboration opportunities with adjacent fields (e.g. Facilities, Hospitality, Health, Safety & Environment, Operational Analytics / Finance)
• Work on global People projects and initiatives, partner with the global team, give input on strategy and roll-out plans to ensure compatibility with Vienna site needs and Austrian employment law
• Collaborate with the People Essentials team to ensure compliance and effective communication with stakeholders; manage complex employee relations cases, also in close collaboration with division-specific People Business Partners
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends, regulatory developments and HR-related studies in Austria, DACH region and Europe to inform Exscientia’s people efforts
• Support EOR (employer of record) employees in European countries

Requirements

• Bachelors or higher degree, ideally in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Psychology or similar fields
• Proven experience for min. 4 years in an HR role, ideally as a generalist with involvement in strategic organisation building and/or business partnering for a site
• Experience working in international organisations
• Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and German skills. German knowledge is a definite requirement.
• Time management skills and resilience to pressure.
• Ability to work independently representing Exscientia values and policies for the Vienna location.

Benefits

Exscientia provides a competitive compensation package in accordance with the Austrian collective bargaining agreement, starting from a minimum of 70.000,-€ gross per year. We will negotiate an attractive package and overpayment based on your background and previous work experience.
