Certification Lead - IT Security & Cryptography (m/f/d) - hybrid

We are looking for someone to join our engineering department who is interested in growing into the domain of product certification. As fiskaly often operates in highly regulated environments, we are required to ensure we provide solutions that are reviewed and certified by national agencies in the regions we serve, and this role will be focused on that process.

Ideally, as you learn and develop, you will take the leading role in driving the future certifications of our products in Germany and beyond.

What can you expect if you join us?

• You will work with members of the fiskaly team who have previously been involved in certification efforts, and be trained to take over the responsibility for our ongoing certification processes. Initially, you will work alongside these more experienced people, and as your competency grows, so will your level of autonomy

• You will help defining the rolein cooperation with colleagues who have managed certification efforts in the past

• You will become the primary person responsible for communication with external evaluators and stakeholderssuch as the German Bundesministerium für Finanzen (BMF)andBundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI), as well as members of the fiskaly leadership team and C-level, usually in conjunction with other members of the team

• You will work with the development teamsto make sure they’re kept up-to-date with the certification process, as well as creating work tickets in collaboration with the Technical Product Owners, to make sure the team is able to react to changes and requirementsin a timely and accurate manner

• You will read technical documentationregarding the certification process to understand requirements, as well as learning to write technical documentation when required (e.g. Protection Profiles, Security Targets)

• You will receive domain specific trainingwhere it is available, and be able to learn and develop your skills in a safe environment

• You either have 5+ yearsworking experience as a software developerin a team or 5+ yearsworking experience as a project manageron complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders, plus experienceworking as a software developer

• You understand modern software development approaches, and agile methodologies

• You have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with a focus on detail and understanding of technical requirements

• You are comfortable working without strong external guidance, and happily take initiative to unblock yourself and continue moving forwards

• Your interpersonal skills are strong, and you’re able to work both autonomously and in conjunction with others towards a similar goal

• You are well organised and comfortable recording information in a way that can be understood by others

• You work with a focus on redundancy, ensuring the certification process is not blocked by a single person

• You are fluent in English and German, and are comfortable working in both

You will impress us if

• You have participated in or driven software certification efforts inside of a regulatory framework

• You have worked with Common Criteria, Protection Profiles, and Security Targets in the past

• You have experience working with complex documentation and are comfortable working with domain-specific concepts and terms, ideally inside of a legal framework

• You have a proven ability to work well in an uncertain environment, and are comfortable taking initiative to define your own tasks
