Architect Tractor and Mobile Working Machines f/m/d

Location Steyr or Neuss

In this position you will be responsible for the development of complex architecture concepts and the transfer of these concepts into implementation, as well as the coordination of CAD architects within AVL.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participation in the preparation of specifications, (target) cost estimates, target cost tracking, supplier identification/preselection
• Participation in the creation and design of vehicle architectures or vehicle concepts during the concept phase
• Integration of systems and components into the complete vehicle
• Packaging/layout of individual parts, assemblies up to complete vehicles with variants and options
• Creation and maintenance of product structures in the PDM system incl. project-dependent tailoring
• Execution of design reviews with regard to option/variant integration, production/logistics, assembly on the line, service, etc. with the respective departments involved
• Regular tracking of the design status in the 3D environment as well as maintenance of the data structure in the PDM system Steering of design engineers and designers
• Monitoring and enforcement of design guidelines in consideration of the respective customer house standards

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed engineering studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, design engineering or comparable qualification
• Many years of industry experience in the vehicle sector, ideally in the field of tractor development, construction machinery development
• Experience in vehicle architecture, packaging and layouting
• Experience in dealing with product master structures, platform principles
• Design experience in CAD-3D (ProE/Creo, Catia V5, …)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
• Enthusiasm, above-average (performance) motivation, willingness to contribute fresh ideas and know-how
• Affinity to the agricultural or construction machinery industry in an international business environment
• German and English fluent in spoken and written, other languages are advantageous

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €60,200.00. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
